2010 Oakville Municipal Election

 

Monday, October 25, 2010 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.


The following provides general information and opportunities relating to the 2010 municipal election. For further information, contact as noted below.

Employment: Apply in person or online to work in the municipal election, to be held Monday, October 25, 2010. For more information on employment opportunities, or to submit an application online, please visit: http://www.oakville.ca/employelections.htm.

Voting: Voting Day for the 2010 municipal election will take place on Monday, October 25, 2010 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. If you are unable to vote on Voting Day you may vote at one of the advance voting dates that have been scheduled to take place as follows:

Electors may vote at any of the advance voting locations regardless of where you reside in the municipality.

Accessible Voting: All voting day locations will be physically accessible. All advance voting locations and one central location on voting day (Town Hall, 1225 Trafalgar Road), will be physically accessible and have accessible voting equipment for persons with disabilities.


 

 

Are you unable to vote on Voting Day, or any of the advance voting days?

Call the Clerk's Department to obtain information about voting by proxy. Voter Qualifications: To vote in the Oakville municipal election you must be:


  • At least 18 years of age on Voting Day
  • A Canadian citizen
  • A resident or owner or tenant of property in Oakville or the spouse of such owner or tenant.
  • Voter Notification Cards: The Town of Oakville will mail out voter notification cards to eligible voters in September.
