ABC Life Literacy Canada is a non-profit organization
whose goal is to inspire Canadians to increase their literacy skills. They connect and mobilize business professionals, union
groups, government, communities and individuals to support lifelong learning and achieve their goals through leadership in
programs, communications and partnerships. They envision a Canada where everyone has the skills they need to live a very
successful and fully engaged life. Join ABC Life Literacy Canada along with the rest of Canada on January 27th, 2012
for a learning journey. Family Literacy Day is a day to celebrate any milestones or triumphs
that we either have overcome or are struggling to overcome. Taking time out of our busy schedules will no doubt help your
loved ones become more literate, no matter what their age.
Literacy gives us a more balanced understanding of the things around us and how to react in certain situations,
be it financial or intellectually. How proud do our children make us when that report card full of A's and B's is brought
home? We all wish great things for our kids and should do everything in our power to see them succeed. Outstanding literacy
skills, is a "win-win" for now and in the future.
So, as Family Literacy Day approaches, ABC Life Literacy Canada wants to celebrate
with you! Enter to win a great prize pack- and enjoy the Journey to Learning with them on such an important day.
It's never too late to start learning.
The
Journey to Learning Passport contains a series of helpful games and puzzles designed to make us all more aware of
what literacy means, and how to benefit from it.
