The company gave us assistance in taking the measurements, so as not to make any mistakes. I mean, really, who knows how to measure a dog, except for those who make pet clothing. They were extremely helpful throughout the process. I must say after I sent in the measurements I began to get a little excited about the prospect of my little angel getting all dolled up for winter.

When the coat arrived a few weeks later, I was pleasantly surprised how well made it was. It is made from a waterproof material, which is fleece lined for extra warmth. Our little lady pranced on over to see what all the fuss was about. Quite funny actually. It simply slides over each of her shoulders and Velcro closures down the belly line do it up tight. The parka we were given to review is equipped with a nice little hood that snaps out of the way when not in use. A great design to say the least. It also has holes in the back for the dog leash to pop through without the need for removing the collar. Ingenious. It even has a pocket on the back for the doggie treats needed for the mid walk snack. The fact that they are also machine washable is an added bonus.
