Equal Coffee Date

Thanksgiving Sunday is the perfect day to get out with your best friend and relax over a cup of java. We are fortunate in Oakville, as nearly every intersection has a Tim Horton's or a drive-thru. Tim Horton's Head Office is located in Oakville, we almost drove there, then decided to visit the Third Line/ QEW store. My Equal coffee date was with @WM_Jenn and spending time with her sans kids is always fun and, well adventurous.

Jen ordered her java, while I ordered a decaf tea and asked the employee if they had Equal Sweetener in stock, she said they only served Splenda...there was only two choices of sugar available. I chose the Splenda and was happy to read that it only contains 1 gram of sugar, compared to 4 grams with regular sugar. We asked them about Equal Sweetener and one employee said maybe another location may stock it and another young employee mentioned that only the US carries it.

This location is usually one of the better staffed stores, as they need to be prepared for the busy morning commute. Tim Horton's and Wendy's are in the same building, along with a gas station and a very busy strip mall attached. The Tim Horton's closer to my house is a a drive-thru only and is insanely busy through out the day.

We enjoyed sitting back and relaxing for a bit, and learning about sweeteners. My cousin in the United States uses the Equal Sweetener all the time as he has diabetes and some heart issues. I usually try and keep sweeteners in my house when he visits. After my visit with Tim Horton's I went straight to Sobey's and found this.

Thank you @WM_Jenn for spending the afternoon with me, I was suppose to buy your coffee...so next time it is on me. Thank you for assisting me to see if Tim Horton's carried #EqualCanada sweetener and being apart of my Collective Bias date #CBias. We did fill out the comment card and I mentioned my purpose of my visit.
