I never thought cancer would affect my family- and yet it did on April 2, 2008.  Cancer took my Mom away from us.  She had the same cancer as Luciano Pavarotti, and Randy Pausch and I am comforted to know she is sharing a place with great people. 

I have been walking in the Relay for Life since June, 2008 and this year we decided to host a big fundraiser - all proceeds donated towards The Canadian Cancer Society. Through our networking I met Kendall from @OakvilleBP, she invited me for lunch and we planned our first fundraising event hosted at the Oakville Boston Pizza, located at Winston Churchill and the QEW. 

From that moment I did not slow down, I enlisted the help of some pretty amazing people, @Mapsgirl, @Optimom, @BarleySugar, @GlamaMama, @BigDaddyKreativ, @RobynConnolly ,@PowerSaver, @Marcreyergrant .  And a special thank you to @duriajrami.  Without hesitation from my wonderful friends they were all behind me and assisted in making this year a huge success.
